The Hand of Isfet

The first collection of stories about Aculeo & Amunet features five new adventures of the renegade centurion and the Aegyptian sorceress.

Before "Bride of the Swamp God" ...

. "The Mirror of Amunet" catches our heroine at an early age, trying to deal with a sticky problem.
. "The Witch with Green Eyes" gets Aculeo entangled in the mysteries of Palmyrene sorcery... and a much more mundane revenge.

Before "Lair of the White Ape" ...

. "The Hand of Isfet" picks up the trail of Aculeo & Amunet a few days after their first meeting, the Empire and the Cult of Isfet hot on their heels.

And further on ...

. "Severed-Heads Valley" turns a simple matter of a cuckold husband looking for his lost wife into a fight for life and death.
. "The Crypts of Eskishaar" brings back an old enemy... and a few new ones.

The stories of Aculeo & Amunet are old fashioned sword & sorcery in the tradition of Robert E. Howard, but with a modern twist.

This review is from: The Hand of Isfet: and other stories (Aculeo & Amunet Book 3)(Kindle Edition)
"I found this collection of Aculeo & Amunet stories very entertaining. Despite the "modern" attitude of the characters, the wisecracking and the banter, the stories are very much worthy of the classic Sword & Sorcery tradition, which is no small merit.
The initial shorter pieces give us a glimpse into the couples' individual past, but it's the three longer stories that display the duo full potential. I hope to read more!"
